SCOJO New York supports the AAPI community
The pandemic has been an unquestionably difficult time for people across the nation. Certain communities have been hit harder than others even beyond the effects of the virus itself.
Like many across the globe, we are saddened by the wave of Anti-Asian hate crimes and the recent murders in Georgia of primarily Asian women.
To our Asian team members, guests, partners, customers, and community members: we see you, we grieve with you and we stand with you. SCOJO New York condemns any act of racial violence in the strongest possible terms and stands in solidarity with the Asian communities.
We would like to invite you to join us in this cause and support the AAPI community:
To show support for the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, we will be donating to the Asian Americans Advancing Justice | AAJC. Founded in 1991, Advancing Justice | AAJC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works every day to support the AAPI community through advocacy, litigation and public policy advocacy.
To lend your support, on March 26th you can enter the code STOPASIANHATE at checkout to ensure that 20 percent of your purchase goes towards Advancing Justice | AAJC.
Encourage those who experience or witness acts of hate towards the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities to report an incident at STOP AAPI HATE website. Reporting incidents helps to understand what is happening and guides in developing policies to advocate for: https://stopaapihate.org/reportincident/
SCOJO New York holds the unshakeable belief that diversity and inclusion are what make us a strong community, a beautiful country and a remarkable world. In this instance, we are dedicated to amplifying Asian voices, supporting Asian communities and protecting Asians in America. We are learning and listening with open ears and open hearts.
SCOJO New York will continue to condemn racism in all forms to work towards a world that values respect, inclusion, and equity for all.
